The Spontaneous Family

With just slightly more than a month’s warning, this family of five (including three young children) decided to move halfway around the world into a not-yet-seen, empty three-bedroom apartment with nothing but the suitcases they could carry.

Fresh off their flight from JFK, they turned the key to their new digs for the first time to find:

  • A fully furnished and accessorized apartment (customized to their décor taste, of course)
  • Each bed hand selected for individual comfort and perfectly made with designer linens
  • A kitchen stocked with all the cooking, dining and entertaining essentials they required
  • A fridge, pantry and bar packed with their favorite goodies, necessities and beverages (yes, even hard-to-find wine and their favorite brand of gourmet mustard)
  • Their clothes and personal items (which they’d shipped with our assistance from Sydney) pressed and neatly hung in their closets
  • Each bathroom stocked with toiletries and linens
  • Top-of-the-line TVs installed and cable and wi-fi packages up and running

Silicon Valley-Guy Goes East

If you’re the average person relocating for business, you may get stuck with corporate housing or a lackluster corporate furniture rental package. Don’t be average; be like this client, whose company hired our services to:

  • furnish their new CEO’s Brooklyn two-bedroom pad with stylish furnishings tailored to his modern California-surfer-chic taste
  • accept, unpack and situate his personal items that were shipped cross country
  • stock his kitchen and linen closet with the essentials (and a few specific requests)
  • set up his entire home with a top-of-the-line tech package, including TVs, surround-sound and home automation system

Pre-Wedding Worlds Colliding

When fiancé and fiancée decided to sell their respective one-bedroom homes and start their new life together in a large three-bedroom downtown, they called us in for a little couples’ counseling (on the move front, that is).

We assisted them by:

  • Determining which of their existing furniture could be used in their new space and what needed to be donated or sold (all the details of which we handled, of course)
  • Selecting additional furnishing and décor items they needed to have a perfectly and professionally designed home to reflect their joint taste
  • Coordinating the move of all items from each individual apartment and neatly unpacked and put in place in the new space (all packing material and boxes removed), allowing the couple to spend their big move day together having lunch and enjoying a day off
